November 2007

Welcome to the first edition of ChangeMaker.  Our goal is to support you as an agent of change by connecting you to a variety of resources, tools, websites, and insights you can use.

We selected this month to launch our first newsletter to coincide with an important milestone for us: it's our 2 year anniversary. A heartfelt thanks goes out to all the individuals who over the past two years contributed greatly to our success.

Do you have any innovative tools, tips, or insights you would like to share with others committed to social responsibility?  Let us know.  We'll be happy to include them in future issues of ChangeMaker.

In the meantime, enjoy!

Social Responsibility? "Show Me The Numbers!"
If can't be measured it can't be managed
True Impact Logo

One of the most challenging parts of sustaining socially responsible business activities (SR) can be demonstrating and measuring their value, mostly because few guidelines for such measurement exist.

All too often business leaders struggle with questions like: What's the actual return on our investment?   How do these activities improve our business performance?  Do they actually make a difference in our community?

Even if you're already convinced that your SR activities are worthwhile - whether on moral grounds or anecdotal evidence of value - measurement is what enables effective program management.
